✦ Facilities & Features ✦
Amenities
World-Class Facilities. Loosely Defined.
Walnut Knolls offers an array of amenities that have been described by members as 'present' and 'mostly functional.' We invite you to experience them, subject to availability, seasonal closures, and the discretion of the Facilities Committee.
Sport & Recreation
The Golf Course
18 Holes. Approximately.
Our championship-adjacent golf course winds through 147 acres of meticulously maintained terrain, some of which is intentionally that color. Designed in 2026 by a firm that has since dissolved, the course features water hazards, sand traps, and one hole that the greenskeeper describes as 'still under discussion.' Golf carts are available for an additional fee. Walking is permitted but discouraged.

The Aquatic Center
A Pool. It Has Water.
The Walnut Knolls Aquatic Center features a heated swimming pool that is heated during months the Board designates as 'pool season.' The pool measures 25 meters in length, which is regulation for something, we are told. Lounge chairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Towels are available for rent. The hot tub is operational pending a parts order that was placed in the spring.

Wellness
The Fitness Center
Equipment. Some of It Works.
Our state-of-the-art fitness center was state-of-the-art in 2019 and has been maintained to a standard the Board characterizes as 'adequate.' The facility includes treadmills, free weights, resistance machines, and one elliptical that makes a sound the staff has agreed to stop investigating. Personal training is available by appointment with Cliff, who is certified in something.

Dining
The Dining Room
Cuisine. Served on Plates.
The Walnut Knolls Dining Room offers a rotating seasonal menu curated by our Executive Chef, whose name we are not at liberty to disclose following a recent contractual matter. Dinner service is available Thursday through Sunday. Lunch is available on weekdays for Full Members and above. The wine list has been described by one member as 'extensive' and by another as 'a list of wines.' Reservations are strongly encouraged. Walk-ins are technically permitted but will be seated near the kitchen.

The Members' Lounge provides a refined setting for post-round refreshments, pre-dinner conversation, and the quiet contemplation of one's portfolio. A full bar is available during lounge hours. Light snacks are served until 8pm, at which point they are no longer light and are simply snacks. The fireplace is operational October through March, or whenever the flue is cooperating.

The Tennis Courts
Two Courts. One Net.
Walnut Knolls features two Har-Tru clay tennis courts, one of which was resurfaced in 2025. Court reservations may be made up to 72 hours in advance. Racquet rentals are available at the pro shop, which is staffed on weekdays and 'most Saturdays.' Group lessons are offered on a schedule that is posted, taken down, and reposted with some regularity. The ball machine is coin-operated.

A Note on Availability
All amenities are subject to seasonal closures, scheduled maintenance, unscheduled maintenance, private events, Board reservations, and circumstances the Club characterizes as 'beyond our control.' We recommend calling ahead. We also recommend not being surprised when no one answers.
